Compare particle visibility and the way light spreads across the surface. A similar base colour can look very different with scattered glitter or a finer shimmer.
Look closely
A close-up helps judge how the particles relate to nail size. One distant photograph may hide that distinction.
Choose an accent scale
A small reflective detail can support a plain main colour. If the entire nail is reflective, simplify neighbouring motifs.
