How to Read a Nail Colour Swatch

A swatch is most useful when its lighting, background and application are known. A digital colour square is only a browsing reference.

Check what is shown

Look for a product photograph and any stated layer or base information. Do not infer opacity, viscosity or wear from the colour value.

Compare like with like

Put two product swatches side by side at a similar scale. Save their codes so a later comparison uses the same products.
